For the second night’s entertainment, we assembled a small tv table just purchased at the Super-Store, and unpacked the color tv and video player that we had brought with us from Singapore. To my surprise, it worked! We fell asleep watching a Thai and English sub-titled ‘Passion of Christ’ (Mel Gibson) on VCD as we didn’t have a tv antenna yet!

We had to sleep on the floor a second night as the mattresses we ordered wouldn’t be delivered until the next day. A bottle of Blue Ice beer helped smooth out the bumps..
